Lithium-Ion Cell Non-Active Materials and Coating Technology

Electrode technology has a significant impact on cell cost, performance, life, and reliability. In this session, we will review non-active components that contribute to electrode integrity and performance, and recent advances in the coating technology that is utilized to manufacture electrodes.


 

Ken Broom
Chairman:
Ken Broom, Chief Operations Officer, China BAK Battery, Inc.

 

Mr. Broom has worked in the lithium rechargeable battery industry for 26 years. From 1984 – 2006 he worked for Moli Energy, the only high volume manufacturer of lithium-ion rechargeable cells in North America , and from 2007 – present with China BAK. His work experience has included QA, manufacturing engineering, product design, operations management, international business development and executive management. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. Mr. Broom received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
