Total Battery Consulting is a private battery consulting firm specialized in power source technology assessment and product development, application and usage. TBC clients over the last 10 years have ranged from Silicon Valley startups to some of the world's largest corporations.
Menahem Anderman, PhD.
Menahem Anderman has directed development programs for high-power nickel-based and Lithium-Ion batteries as well as electrochemical capacitors. His corporate experience ranges from materials research, cell design, and product development, to battery-system application, market development, technology and business assessment and general management. He holds a PhD with honors in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, and founded Total Battery Consulting in 1996 to offer consulting services in lithium- and nickel-based battery development and application, intellectual property issues in battery-related markets, and investment assessment.
Dr. Anderman, who is known for his co-authorship of the 2000 California Air Resources Board Battery Report, founded Advanced Automotive Batteries (AAB) during that year to provide up-to-date technology and market assessments of the rapidly growing field of energy storage for hybrid and electric vehicles. Advanced Automotive Batteries published the 2002 and 2007 Advanced Automotive Battery Industry Reports, the 2005 Ultracapacitor Opportunity Report, and the recent (April 2010) PHEV-EV Opportunity Report. Advanced Automotive Batteries, with Dr. Anderman serving as Chairman, also organizes the main event in the industry: the Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC), attended by over 850 participants from over 350 companies in 2008, 2009, and 2010. In 2010, AABC also held its first European conference, focusing on the activities and needs of European automakers and attracting over 600 participants. The 11th international AABC will be held in Pasadena, California, January 24 to 28, 2011, and the second European event in Mainz, Germany, June 6 to 10, 2011.
